No. The free plan is free forever and needs no card. You only add a payment method if you decide to upgrade to PRO or Premium.

Any modern browser on desktop, tablet or phone. StudyTab is also a Progressive Web App (PWA), so you can install it like a native app and even study offline.

Three core things: it builds flashcards automatically from any PDF, note or video; it edits your notes inline — rewrite, simplify, translate, continue or summarize — shown as track-changes you keep or undo; and it answers your questions grounded in your own materials, citing the exact page or note the answer came from.

Yes. The AI tutor retrieves from your own uploaded materials (a technique called RAG), so answers are grounded in your sources rather than generic internet text — and each answer cites the page or note it used, which you can click to jump straight to.

As you add materials and notes, StudyTab extracts the key concepts and links related ones into a visual map. It shows what connects to what, surfaces the prerequisite gaps you've skipped, and tracks your mastery per concept (green = strong, amber = shaky, red = weak). The full graph is a PRO feature; on Free, 3 uploads a month are mapped so My Exam knows your topics.

Eight: basic (with an optional reversed side), cloze deletion, multiple choice, true/false, ordering, matching, picture quiz and audio — so every kind of question has the right format. The AI picks sensible types for you, and you can change them anytime.

Yes. Import standard .apkg files and tick “Import scheduling data” to keep each card’s due date and interval, so your schedule carries on. Importing copies your decks — the originals stay in Anki. Exporting back to .apkg isn’t supported yet.

Yes — free forever, no card needed. Unlimited notes, flashcards and spaced-repetition review, plus 10 AI helps a day. PRO and Premium raise the daily AI limits, map every upload into your knowledge graph and include more StudyTab tokens.

Free covers the core: unlimited notes and flashcards, 10 AI helps a day and 2,000 StudyTab tokens a month. PRO gives 100 AI helps a day, your full knowledge map and 50,000 tokens. Premium removes the daily AI limits, adds the AI Mentor and includes 200,000 tokens. The Pricing section on the home page has the full breakdown.

AI actions draw from your StudyTab token balance, priced from what each AI model really costs. Free includes 2,000 tokens a month; PRO and Premium include much larger monthly allowances, and you can top up with add-on packs if you ever run out. Your remaining balance is always visible.

Yes. Plans are billed monthly and you can cancel whenever you want — you keep access until the end of the billing period, and your notes, decks and data stay with you.

StudyTab schedules each card with FSRS (and classic SM-2 if you prefer) — algorithms that model your personal forgetting curve. Cards resurface right before you'd forget them, so you do fewer reviews and remember far longer.

Yes, per deck. You can also forecast your daily review load and fine-tune the scheduler's parameters to match your exam timeline.

Standard review, plus audio mode (listen and answer hands-free) and picture-quiz mode. You can study a whole deck, only what's due today, or generate a focused session from your weakest concepts in the knowledge graph.

Yes. As a PWA, StudyTab caches your downloaded decks so you can keep reviewing on a flight or a patchy connection, and it syncs your progress once you're back online.

Your materials and notes are yours. They're used to power your own study experience — your cards, graph and tutor — and are not sold. You can export or permanently delete your content at any time.

Yes — export notes as PDF or Markdown, decks as printable PDF flashcard sheets, and whole folders as a zip, whenever you want.
