Built for the MCAT

MCAT flashcards that come back before you forget

The MCAT covers years of biology, biochemistry, chemistry, physics, psychology and sociology. StudyTab turns your prep books, lecture slides and review videos into flashcards, imports the Anki decks you already use, and brings every card back just before you’d forget it.

The problem

Why the MCAT is a memory test as much as a science test

01

Four sections, six sciences

Bio/Biochem, Chem/Phys and Psych/Soc each pack in years of coursework, and CARS tests your reading on top of it all.

02

Months of prep, one test day

What you learned in your first month of prep still has to be there on test day. Without regular review, the early chapters quietly fade.

03

Shared decks don’t know your gaps

Big pre-made decks cover everything, but they can’t tell which topics you’ve nailed and which keep costing you points.

Features

Made for MCAT content review

  • Bring your Anki decks

Import .apkg decks with their due dates and intervals, then add AI cards from your own material alongside them.

  • Equations that display properly

Physics and chemistry formulas render with LaTeX, and ordering cards drill the steps of pathways like glycolysis.

  • Picture quizzes for diagrams

Hide the labels on an anatomy diagram or a molecule and recall each one.

  • 8 card types

Multiple choice for discrete questions, cloze for definitions, matching for amino acids and their properties.

  • A tutor that cites your pages

Ask why an answer is right and get an explanation from your own prep books, with a link to the page.

FAQ

MCAT questions, answered.

Still unsure? Write to us. A person reads every message.

Can I import my MCAT Anki decks?
Yes. Import .apkg decks with their due dates and intervals, so your reviews pick up where you left off. Then add AI cards from your own material in the same schedule.
Does it help with CARS?
Less than with the science sections, honestly. CARS tests reading and reasoning, not memorised facts. Use StudyTab for content review and keep doing timed CARS passages.
Can I make cards from practice-test explanations?
Yes. Paste or upload the explanations for questions you got wrong and make cards from them, so every mistake turns into a review card.
Which spaced repetition does it use?
FSRS, a modern scheduler that learns how fast you forget, or classic SM-2 if you prefer. You set it per deck, with a forecast of upcoming reviews.
Is it free?
Yes. The free plan gives you notes, all 8 card types and spaced-repetition reviews, with no time limit and no card needed. Pro is optional: it maps your whole syllabus with the gaps marked, turns handwritten notes into cards and gives you ten times the daily AI help. See the pricing page for details.
